Workshop "Mathematics and microscopic theory for random Soft Matter systems (MathMicS)"
Düsseldorf, Germany, February 13-15, 2023
organized by René Wittmann, Hartmut Löwen (both HHU Düsseldorf) and Matthias Sperl (DLR Köln).
The workshop will take place at Schloss Mickeln.
The aim of this workshop is to bring together Physicists and Mathematicians to discuss mathematical and physical problems in equilibrium and nonequilibrium soft matter systems. The workshop will be attended by both mathematicians and physicists from different fields, so the presentations should be understandable for a broad audience.
The workshop consists of invited talks and contributions in form of posters and a mini talks.
The focus lies on the following topics:
- disorder in complex systems
- hyperuniformity in soft matter
- morphological characterization of pattern formation
- statistical modeling of living organisms
- theoretical frameworks for time dependence
- mathematical foundations of statistical theories
- exactly solvable models
The workshop is part of the DFG Priority Programme SPP 2265: Random Geometric Systems
